Philippe Malouin has created the coolest thing in the world, in our humble opinion, by thinking creatively about the actual use of furniture. Ask yourself how many chairs you have in your house that you don't actually use very often. You may even have chairs in other parts of your house that barely even get used at all! That's not the case for most people living in urban areas like New York, but if you think about it, isn't that totally wasteful?
From the website:
"“Occasional furniture”. The name should be self explanatory, but it is somewhat incorrect in most cases. These pieces tend to lie around the house, stacked in a corner, or in an unused room. When space is an issue, as is the case for most European city dwellers, an object such as a folding chair will clutter up the precious available space."
When you aren't using this chair, you can hang your coats in the closet, or maybe even hang the chair on the wall? It can be quite cool-looking, we think!
